Community Resources

What makes Bergenfield a great place to raise a Jewish family?

With a large variety of shuls, batei midrashos and yeshivas in the area, you’ll be sure to find the proper setting to meet your religious needs. New Kosher supermarkets are opening in the area as well. Bergenfield also borders the large Jewish community of Teaneck, abundant with kosher eateries, supermarkets and shopping centers on Queen Anne Road, West Engelwood Ave and Cedar Lane. The community eruv includes Teaneck, Bergenfield, New Milford and Engelwood. The newly renovated Teaneck Mikvah is only a short walk away. Public Transit to midtown Manhattan is about an hour via NJ Transit.

Many Yeshiva day schools are in the nearby towns, including Ben Porat Yosef, the  Moriah School, the Rosenbaum Yeshiva of North Jersey, Yavneh Academy, Yeshivat Noam and  Yeshivat He’Atid as well as others. Local yeshiva high schools such as The Frisch School,  Heichal Hatorah,  Ma’ayanot Yeshiva High School for Girls, Naaleh High School for Girls and Torah Academy of Bergen County.

If you would like to join us for a  Shabbos, please reach out to our Welcoming Committee, and let us know what week works best for you. We’ll arrange everything, so come see what we’re all about!
